We deeply regret the death of Gerald Gall on March 18, 2012. A professor of law at the University of Alberta for over 35 years, he was also one of the founders of the Centre for Constitutional Studies (CCS). Gerry, as he was known to all his friends and colleagues, devoted his professional life to teaching and advancing the public understanding of Canada’s Constitution and human rights law. He served on the management board of CCS for many years, and was named an honorary Centre Director on leaving the Board in 2007. Gerry was responsible for many Centre initiatives and will be remembered for the enthusiastic support he provided to Centre staff and students.
